Recently, she has been shortlisted as one of the top 172 participants from over 40,000 applicants across 25 countries for the Haut Monde Mrs India Worldwide beauty pageant 2019. The pageant will be held in Greece in October this year.  In 2018 Roy, who then held a position in the corporate sector, was diagnosed with a malignant tumour in the first stage of cancer. It was the time when she took a break from her job, and started modelling and doing shoots while getting treatment.  When she was told that the only way to take a chance at saving her life was a macro open surgery, she took the chance.
